Dangan Lodge Cottages were lovingly restored four years ago. The three bedroom house is over 150 years old and was once the gate lodge at the southern end of Dangan House estate, which is unfortunately now demolished. The two storey – three bedroom farmhouse sleeps up to eight persons with two double bedrooms and a twin room, three bathrooms and extra sleeping arrangements on the double sofa bed. With two living rooms, a dining room, separate kitchen, morning and utility rooms the farmhouse is of ample size to comfortably accommodate a large family group. The natural interior finishes make you feel you really living in a traditional Irish cottage.

There are three two bedroom cottages with large living dining areas and two ensuite bedrooms which can be arranged to suit individual requirements making either two double bedrooms or a combination of double and twin bedrooms. Each of these cottages sleeps up to six persons comfortably with double sofa beds in the living areas. The design style is cosy and relaxing with warm tones and restful décor.

Last, but not least, there are two single bedroom cottages, both of which will comfortably sleep up to four persons with a sofa bed in each cottage and with their own patios to enjoy the evening sunshine, sip a glass of wine, play a game of cards, get to know the other guests or just enjoy each others company.

All cottages are fully equipped and have a wealth of local tourist literature for the guest to browse and knowledgeable staff are on hand to advise on tours, day trips and local sights.

We can arrange coach tours, with pickup from the cottages, to various destinations within Co Clare on different days of the week – if the driver wants to take a break.
